Professional Experience:

Mr. Daniel Meléndez-Barreiro practice focuses on civil litigation, transactional and corporate matters. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Meléndez-Barreiro acted as Compliance & Data Privacy Officer for a publicly traded fintech corporation where he counseled, both internal and external clients, in Latin America and the Caribbean on data privacy and HIPAA related matters.  Mr. Meléndez-Barreiro also represented the company in drafting customer and supplier agreements, while being tasked with creating and implementing the first company-wide record retention policy and operating procedures.  

During his academic years, Mr. Melendez-Barreiro clerked for the Hon. Bryan K. Tester,  Judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico and volunteered for a wide range of pro-bono activities.
